The seam problem
Count the seams in a typical learning stack
An authoring tool, an LMS, a spreadsheet for the numbers the LMS can’t explain, a survey tool for the questions the spreadsheet can’t answer, an email tool to beg people to log in.
Every seam costs the same three things:
- Time — exporting, uploading, reconciling, re-doing.
- Truth — every handoff forks content into copies and data into fragments. Which version is live? Which number is right?
